Many communities across British Columbia are currently experiencing a wildfire crisis. Tens of thousands of residents have been evacuated or placed on evacuation alert. Hundreds, if not thousands, of structures have been lost across the province in over 900 wildfires and 3,900 square kilometres burned this year.
