Behind the Lens: Crossover

Gallery 881 presents a special evening of photography and conversation as Andrew Latreille offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of his recent project and exhibition, Crossover. Andrew will be sharing insights into his process, techniques, and approach to working in post-burn landscapes.

Crossover, challenges our historical perception of forest fires by removing the blaze from its expected context. Instead of chaos and heat, Latreille captures the textural beauty of post-burn landscapes under the reflected light of a subzero winter full moon. The result is a quiet yet powerful visual essay on climate, perception, and transformation.

Andrew will be joined by fellow photographer Walter Borchenko who will reflect on his recent exhibitions, Phase In My Journey and The Land I Call Home. Click here to view Walter’s work.
