SALA SALON is an event run solely by students. It is an occasion for friends, family, instructors, mentors, and the community to see the graduate thesis work undertaken at UBC’s School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture and the progress the students have made throughout their education. It is also an opportunity for graduating students to be able to talk about and share their interests, and to connect with professionals in the industry.

In the strange and uncertain circumstances of 2020, the graduated students have turned their attention to this publication of work in lieu of an exhibition. This year’s student work includes a broad range of unique themes such as urban revitalization, political spaces, machine landscapes, memory and emotion, climate change, contested spaces, dreams, and reality. We are excited about our work and accomplishments thus far, inspired by the work of our peers, and are elated to share our work to a larger audience.
