To honour the memory of these trees, the AEF invites wood artists, wood turners, and wood carvers to select sections of the harvested Erickson dogwood for their artistic projects. Dogwood sections will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Sounds Like a Whisper is a confluence of six artists, DAKOTA BURPEE, EMILIE FANTUZ, JENNILEE MARIGOMEN, RICHELLE GREABEIEL, SAMANTHA DICKIE, and SARAH DELANEY, investigating the delicate act of seeing the unseen. Each artist was invited to create work that reveal what is overlooked, erased, or deliberately concealed. Through material research, their artworks explore their own engagement with the visible, the hidden, and the ephemeral. This exhibition acknowledges environmental temporality and fragile boundaries between intertwined states of being.
