APR 17–SEPT 13, 2026 | In Mayor of the Village, Douglas Watt brings together a series of new and recent works that find their point of departure in Vancouver’s Davie Village, a historically significant centre of queer life in the city. Loosely staging the gallery as a café, Watt hangs within this environment a “survey” of his miniaturized model works from the past several years.

Conceived in the spirit of a summer reunion, One in a Million marks the 40th anniversary of Expo 86 and looks back at a pivotal moment in Vancouver’s history: a city on display, full of optimism, spectacle, and public energy, just before monumental changes reshaped the landscape of the Lower Mainland. Following the presentation of de Courcy’s work in Surrey Art Gallery’s 40th anniversary exhibition, In the Shadow of the Pavilions: Expo 86 and Contemporary Art, Gallery 881 presents a more intimate encounter with his photographic archive from the world’s fair.

Public Disco closes out its 10th Summer Season with a free, all-ages day at šx????n?q Xwtl'e7én? Square, in the heart of Downtown Van. This is where underground electronic music culture meets the city at large. Curated for the second year by Dairy Free, the lineup brings all-vinyl sets from some of the city's most trusted selectors. An expanded record market returns after last year's success, joining a food market and the wide open steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery. All Ages.

This August, Arthur Erickson Foundation bid a sad farewell to several majestic native Pacific Dogwoods in the Arthur Erickson Garden. To honour the memory of these trees, the AEF invites wood artists, wood turners, and wood carvers to select sections of the harvested Erickson dogwood for their artistic projects. Dogwood sections will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
