September 8–10, the Canadian Society of Decorative Arts hosts their annual symposium and general meeting in Vancouver. On the theme of “Super Natural: Place and Practice,” the symposium will feature a wide-ranging program of talks, tours, and exhibitions, including a lecture with the League’s founding director Adele Weder, entitled “Ron Thom and the Art of Architecture,” and a feature talk with Douglas Coupland entitled, “Accidental Career: Public Art.”
ABOUT THE CSDA
The Canadian Society of Decorative Arts (CSDA) is a charitable organization in Canada founded in 1981 by the generous support of the McDonald Stewart Foundation. CSDA provides the decorative arts community with opportunities to meet other enthusiasts, collectors, professionals and students who collectively delight in and give visibility to the diverse spectrum of material culture and design.
